Your Guide to the Changing Media Landscape

@WAN-Medialex coverage of Web Summit

The topics spanned from the implications of filter bubbles to a face-off between Adblock Plus and legacy media, from the relationship between technology and democracy to the grievances of Wikileaks against newspapers, and solutions to connecting the next billion through reallocation of advertising revenues rather than zero-rating. Our twitter coverage of the event can be found here @E_Perotti
We also explored the wealth of startups that participated in the event, and met an impressive number of new ventures with potential to bring innovation in the newspaper industry.
Our main takeaway from the event is that it deserves careful attention from our industry, and that next year we will need a larger delegation of staff to make the most of it!
