Coalition of trade associations, publishers and agencies aims to improve online advertising

The group will deploy Interactive Advertising Bureau’s technology to assess ads based on various criteria, such as load time and number of tracking pixels. Only the ads that meet a certain threshold will be published on the participating companies’ websites.

The first iteration of the scoring system is expected to be released towards the end of the year, with the scoring software to follow likely in 2017 Business Insider reported.
