Belgian newspaper association renamed LA

To reflect the evolution of its membership, the association’s full name has been changed to “LA – Alliance des médias d’informations” (LA in short). In a video (in French), the association specifies that the name change is motivated by the ongoing transformation of newspapers into both print and digital operations.

Among LA’s mission objectives are the collection and exchange of information that is useful to its membership, and the collection of statistics that relate to the industry: circulation, readership, revenue, and so on.

At the end of May, LA announced the re-election of Daniel Van Wylick, editorial CEO of Groupe Rossel, as its president for the next three years.

LA is a WAN-IFRA member through its umbrella association Belgian News Media.
