It was time to loosen up at the end of Day One of the WAN-IFRA India 2012 Conference here in Pune, western India.

It was party time.

As the drinks were served to guests and people had begun to unwind, the spotlight was on the stage for the distribution of awards to recognize quality printing.

Camps of the various Indian newspapers cheered their reps as they went forward to receive the awards.

The big cheers came from the Times of India camp which walked away with most of the awards.

Dinner was served and the party went on into the night.
