Pune Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre is located in the city's more recently developed zone, home to some IT companies, malls and corporates.
Here, the WAN-IFRA zone comes alive on Sept. 25 as three Pre-Conference Workshops begin to roll.
The Multimedia Advertising Sales workshop was handled by Eamonn Byrne, Business Director, The Byrne Partnership, UK. Coiourful charts adorned the walls of the room.
The Green Publishing workshop was handled by Manfred Werfel, Deputy CEO, WAN-IFRA.
Markus Boehnisch, video journalist from Germany handled the Online Video Production workshop. This was a handson programme and though the group was small, the participants seemed involved. There were participants from I-Next, Sakaal, The Indian Express and Vasan Publications.
Markus got his wards to take the camera out and shoot on the floor, edit the stuff and create a short video. One team chose to make the best of the coffee break and had a film on the coffee making session.
