Your Guide to the Changing Media Landscape

Digital publishing in multiple platforms

Do you need to convert your publication manually to get them delivered to various digital devices? No, says Yusuf Dewaswala of Elite Infosoft. His company is among the many supporters of this conference. Yusuf demonstrates the Elite Digital Media system at the lobby in Pune Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre.

He shows how a PDF file could be converted into an interactive publication using the software. Yusuf says, "This software can be used even by the non-technical persons at the desk, to add more images, slideshows, audio and animation for a story published in the newspaper. Adding content through a Graphic User Interface (GUI) based software is easy". The tool gets the input ready for many digital devices - Apple's Newsstand, Flash Page Flip, Android devices and the web browswers, he adds.

The regional publishers Sakaal and the Malayala Manorama group already use the softeware, Yusuf says. Clearly, the newspapers are thinking beyond print and want to add more content for the digital users.
